Husband. Dad. Designer. Developer. Maker. Founder. Entrepreneur.
Raised in a small farming community in Idaho, I started twisting wrenches, busting tires, and welding metal in the family trucking business at an early age. This foundation of getting my hands dirty and pockets full of grease (a story for another day) made me who I am today.
My first creative journey was in Architecture school. This experience opened my eyes to the limitless challenges that design could solve. The unique cross-over between design and engineering planted a seed for a passion I continue to chase to this day.
In 2005, I started a design and development studio, Creative Soapbox. Through our design and development expertise, strategic problem-solving, and respect for craft, we build user-center solutions for startups to the Fortune 100. Our projects connect deeply with strategy and nail critical details.
I currently call Eugene, Oregon home. I am married my high school sweetheart and we have 3 amazing young adults, a golden retriever, a cocker spaniel, and a rescue feral cat that calls our house home. Our oldest daughter is currently attending SCAD in Savannah studying Illustration, our middle daughter is a junior at Oregon State University studying Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, and our son is finishing up high school with an eye on film school. They are all very talented and keep me on my toes.
